The Mastermind of Champions...
A common saying is that you are the average of the 5 people you surround yourself with. The Kingsmen Collective aims to create a group of founders and executives that are all on a similar mission of ongoing growth and success.
We seek members that embody our philosophy: ambition, accountability and philanthropy.
What is a Mastermind
Masterminds have been a key to success of some of the most influential entrepreneurs through history. The term was made famous in Napoleon Hill's infamous book "Think and Grow Rich," where he described it (in reference to Andrew Carnegie) as "the sum total of all these minds that I have gathered around me." To Carnegie, he contributed his success to being able to operate his business with a group of minds, rather than just his own which is why it became his number 1 principle to success.
Other people such as Henry Ford and Hardy Firestone were part of similar groups, where they created partnerships for Ford automobiles and Firestone tires. Ben Franklin had created a group of 12 people to facilitate productive conversation called the Junto Club. Pixar to this date holds a collective where directors and film executives discuss new ideas in the film industry. Many of the most successful people of today affiliate themselves with similar groups.
Benefits of a Mastermind
1. Share challenges and Successes
Think of this as your own board of advisors of people you respect; a place to celebrate your victories with people who truly appreciate you achieving milestones.
2. High Valued Feedback
Receive honest advise from accomplished business leaders. Learn from each others successes and lessons. Good feedback isn't always easy to come by - advice from your mastermind "advisors" will generally focus on positively moving you forward.
3. Industry Insights
Each member of the group will bring a unique perspective from past experiences. Learn specialized information from industry movers and shakers in your group.
4. Decision Making
Bring up decisions you are facing and receive feedback from individuals who may have been through a similar decision or are faced with one currently. A collaboration of minds to come up with a unique holistic discussion to come up with a solution.
5. Collaboration and Synergy
It is without a doubt that members will find opportunities to identify synergies and grow with each other. A key purpose of this group is to leverage each others talents and create growth opportunities.
6. Thinking Bigger
Expand your vision for the future with a group of people who are continuously looking to grow. A regular source of motivation, where you share your wins and challenges and collectively identify effective steps to attain the next level.
7. Be Ahead of the Competition
We are in a time where technological advances are rapidly changing industries. By having the opportunity to learn from other's experiences on what is working and what is not working, you can assure that you stay ahead of the curve.
8. Growing Network
You will have access to people who you previously may not have. People in groups like this take networking very seriously and it is a great way to build your rolodex.
9. Accelerate Growth Through Accountability
We are a group that is dedicated deeply to helping others succeed at their goals. We look to help members hold each other accountable for their deliverables and goals - this is often the push we need to get to the next level. When you make conscious commitments to groups you respect, you are much more likely to execute them.
10. Develop Winning Habits
"Show me who your friends are, I'll show you who you are" - a quote that many of us are familiar with. You'll intuit better habits simply by observing how your peers think, speak and act. You may admire how one individual analyzes a problem, or learn how another members overburdens himself to burnout and find yourself a balance. One of the most effective habits we hope to foster is the ability to give and receive feedback; which leads to accountability.
Format of the Collective
The collective has a multifaceted approach: in-person meetings, remote meetings, and chat rooms/forums to accommodate regular interactions with your "board of advisors."
1. Monthly In-Person
As this collective's goal is to increase collaboration of industry leaders, we meet once per month for two hours at a location around the tristate area at a member's place of work (or site location) followed by lunch. It is here where we have our in-person mastermind session and discuss success, lessons and issues affecting industries and the economy.
2. Weekly Remote Sessions
We will host weekly two-hour remote sessions revolving around pre-discussed topics which are intended to lead to open discussion. It is here where can dive deep into accountability, success stories, and insights affecting our industries.
3. A Forum for Collaboration
You will be part of a group-chat and forum where we can openly discuss throughout the week. This is a place where you can always seek advice and insights from your peers and discuss recent news and changes. Use this as a platform to give and receive feedback as well as share your wins and milestones.
